The Health & Well-being Hub was founded in Logan Central by Kholoud Abdalla, who saw first-hand how many Arabic-speaking, Somali, Afghan and Ethiopian families in Brisbane's diverse communities struggled to find an NDIS provider who understood their culture, faith and language. Our team speaks English, Arabic, Somali, Dari and Amharic, and supports participants across Logan, Logan Central, Brisbane and surrounding South East Queensland as a multicultural, culturally diverse NDIS provider.

Arabic-speaking NDIS support — العربية

Our team includes Arabic speakers who can discuss your NDIS plan, support needs and enquiries directly in Arabic. Call 0433 604 507 or WhatsApp us and ask for Arabic-language support.

Somali-speaking NDIS support

Our team includes Somali speakers for participants and families who are more comfortable discussing their NDIS support in Somali.

Dari-speaking NDIS support

Our team includes Dari speakers, supporting Afghan families across Logan and Brisbane with their NDIS plans and daily support needs.

Amharic-speaking NDIS support

Our team includes Amharic speakers, supporting Ethiopian families across Logan and Brisbane.

Culturally responsive support, not just translation

Speaking your language is only part of it. Our team also understands:

• Gender-matched support worker preferences for cultural or religious reasons
• Dietary requirements, including halal meal preparation
• Prayer times and religious observances built into scheduling, not treated as a special request
• Support to attend a mosque, church, temple or other place of worship as part of community participation
• Cultural celebrations including Eid, Christmas and Diwali

A note on what this page is — and isn't

This page, and the rest of our website, is currently published in English only. We haven't published fully translated versions of our site in Arabic, Somali, Dari or Amharic, and we'd rather tell you that directly than imply otherwise. What we do have is team members who speak these languages and can talk you through your NDIS support directly, by phone, WhatsApp or in person at our Logan Central office.
